Marketing Specialist

Job Title: Marketing Specialist

Compensation: Hourly, or salary depending on location

Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent​, customer service experience (specifically in written communication a plus), knowledge of social media and target market branding. Excitement to learn and perfect unknown skills

Initial Schedule: 12-18 hours per week with option to grow into full time 

Role and Responsibilities:

This is a growing roll, responsibilites will vary based on if the candidate is local or remote.

Local Candidates In the salon helping stylists capture social media content and brainstorming topics of interest to our target clientele. Assigning video topics to staff, editing videos for social media. Email marketing to existing and potential client base. 

Remote Candidates: Editing videos and other content for our social media, assigning video topics to staff, email marketing, copywriting. Weekly meetings with management.

Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate knows how to take direction, is comfortable with direct communication. Enjoys getting creative within company approved framework. Has a desire to leave everything they touch better than they found it. Isn't afraid of video, either has working knowledge of video content creation or a desire to dive in deep. Organized, and detailed oriented. Must be comfortable assigning tasks to coworkers and management. Must have strong communication skills, and take redirection well. 

Key Responsibilty Areas

  • Post 3-7 engaging posts weekly to all social media channels

  • respond to DMs as available

  • maintain organized content bank for the salon

  • provide content ideas for stylist team

  • manage and improve social media content

  • manage and improve email marketing content

  • manage and improve blog content

Metrics for Success:

  • Increased client retention for all stylists

  • Increased use of our rewards program

  • Increase new Target Market clients

  • Increased salon revenue
